Pritish Kumar Halder will help you prepare for your interview by providing you with sample questions and answers. Try practicing some of these common Naturopathic Physician’s job interview questions:

1.  Are you certified as a naturopathic physician?

How to answer:  This question is a great way to show the interviewer that you are committed to your career as a naturopathic physician. If you are certified, explain what steps you took to become certified. And also notify how it has helped you in your career. If you aren’t certified, explain why you haven’t pursued certification yet and what steps you plan on taking to get certified.

Answer:  “I am currently working toward my certification through the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners. I have been studying for this exam since I graduated from my program last year. Becoming certified will help me prove to patients that I am qualified to treat them.”

2.  What are the most common conditions you treat as a naturopathic physician?

How to answer: This question can help an interviewer understand the types of patients you typically work with. Moreover, how your experience may be beneficial to their practice. Use examples from your previous job or describe a type of patient that you would enjoy working with within this role.

Answer:  “I have worked with many different types of patients. But, I find that my most rewarding experiences are when I can help someone who has been struggling with chronic conditions for years. In my last position, I had a patient who was suffering from severe allergies and asthma. After several months of treatment, she was able to reduce her medication intake by 50% and felt much better overall.”

3.  What is your approach to working with patients who are resistant to conventional treatments?

How to answer:  This question can help interviewers understand how you might approach a challenging patient. You can use your answer to show that you can work with patients who have different opinions and approaches than yourself. As well as those who may not be open to alternative treatments.

Answer:   “I believe it’s important to respect the decisions of my patients, even if they differ from my own. I would first try to find out why the patient is resistant to conventional medicine. If there is something about their experience or treatment that has made them skeptical, I will do my best to address their concerns. And I provide information on other options.”

Not every question you will encounter when interviewing for Naturopathic Physician’s position will be related to public holistic care supportive job. But those are the common topics interviewer can ask for selecting a qualified candidate.
